Lécopot at the Quillan trail

by Julien

A Lécopot team runs the Quillan trail in the Aude department:

Lécopot is well known as a company specializing in the design and manufacture of dry toilets. But it’s less well known that there are some sporting souls at the heart of this Aude-based structure.

Julien, Sari, Bérenger and Florence have decided to take part in the Quillan trail in the upper Aude valley on March 26. Our little team signs up for the first 11 km course. This will be a first for everyone at this local running event. We hope the weather will be fine and that many of you will come to cheer us on.

For the occasion, Lécopot has equipped itself with attractive sweatshirts in the company colors.

Without looking for a result, we hope to finish this race with a decent ranking, … a personal challenge.

The corporate challenge …

The Foulée des trois quilles, organizer of this trail in the Audoises Pyrenees, is offering a “Challenge entreprise”. We thought it was a very good idea to motivate the structuring of teams within local companies, or not. Unfortunately, with only 4 participants, Lécopot was unable to take part in the challenge.

The rules require a team of 5 people, including at least one for each format (11km, 18km and 28km).

So it won’t be for us this year. Maybe next year if we manage to hire one more athlete or if the rules reduce the number of participants per team.

The Sud Trail challenge:

The Quillan trail is also the first event in the Défi Sud Trail, and as such counts towards the overall ranking for this competition.

The Défi sud trail brings together 7 races in the Aude, Ariège and Pyrénées Orientales departments. The results achieved in each race give a number of points that determine an overall ranking.

A race for children:

The little ones also have their place at the Quillan trail. Four routes ranging from 600 m to 3 km are reserved for them, the day before, on Saturday March 25.

Children are invited to run their course in the guise of their favorite hero. The superhero race will see young athletes set off in disguise (with no obligation to do so).

A show not to be missed 😉
