Custom-built dry toilets in Montpellier
Since its creation, Lécopot has been a craftsman’s business offering custom-made dry toilets. At the request of a customer located near Montpellier in the Hérault region (34), we designed and built a dry toilet unit that blends in perfectly with its surroundings. Here’s the story of how it all came about.
The study phase :
Our customer wanted to start with a Papillon model on the right, incorporating two longer side sections to conceal the house’s water feeders. In this kind of study, we usually ask for as many dimensions as possible, as well as a photo of the destination room, so that we can better understand the context.
Our customer gave us as much information as possible.
Manufacturing:
Once we had agreed on the technical solutions and pricing for the service, we launched the manufacturing process. We decided to make this set in three parts. The toilet area and the two dressing sides thus formed three separate rooms. This makes it easier to insert the assembly during installation. It’s not uncommon for us to build a custom dry toilet in several parts. The toilet often takes up the width of the room and has to pass through a narrower door. In this configuration, it is impossible to retract the toilet to its full width and then turn it upside down. In fact, the diagonal of the toilet is larger than the width of the room, so it’s a problem. In fact, it’s preferable to make two or three elements that can be simply assembled by the customer on site.

Once the waterless toilet has been received, all the customer has to do is remove it from its packaging and prepare for installation.
We realize that not everyone has the same DIY skills. That’s why we strive to make assembly as simple as possible for our customers. We usually only need a screwdriver to install our products.
