Design and installation of a custom-built dry toilet cubicle in the Termenes gorges in the Aude department.
The commune of Termes, in the Aude region of Occitanie, has launched a project to build a parking lot to welcome tourists to the Termenes gorges.
Mathieu Courtiade, the architect in charge of the project, contacted us to create a set of
cabin set
to furnish the space.
In fact, the site also serves as a reception area for whitewater sports enthusiasts arriving at the Aude River in summer, as well as for hikers in the area. We therefore needed to create a toilet area suitable for people with reduced mobility (PRM), as well as a changing room to accommodate wet athletes. Working in close collaboration with Mr. Courtiade, we created an ensemble clad in vertical Douglas cladding.

Integrating the cabin into the Natura 2000 site
The site is classified Natura 2000, not far from the
Château de Termes
we also had to change the design of our roof. Normally covered in translucent Polycarbonate, our set was adorned with an attractive wood cladding to follow the lines of the walls.
As we like to create aesthetic sets, we worked on a broken-curve roof. We’re very proud of this bespoke achievement and have enjoyed working on the integration.
We would like to thank the commune of Termes (in the Corbières, Aude) and Mathieu Courtiade, architect in Coustouges, for trusting us and enabling us to carry out this beautiful project.
